ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Starting running back Melvin Gordon III's status for Sunday's game in Kansas City remains uncertain, as he missed his second consecutive day of practice.

"Probably 50-50," said Head Coach Vic Fangio when asked if Gordon would be available.

If Gordon is unable to play with the shoulder and hip injuries he is nursing, Fangio said reserve running back Mike Boone would be available to complement rookie Javonte Williams.

Cornerback Nate Hairston also did not practice Thursday, as Fangio said he had "a little hip issue."

The Broncos, though, did regain several players on Thursday. Defensive end Shelby Harris (ankle), cornerback Ronald Darby (illness), guard Dalton Risner (back) and tight end Eric Saubert (ankle) were all participating in the media-viewing portion of practice after missing Wednesday's session. They all improved to limited participants for Thursday's practice.

Tackle Garett Bolles also participated after being activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

"He's just cleared the protocol," Fangio said of Bolles. "So, he's allowed back in and ready to go back to work."

Bolles (ankle) was listed as limited.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This article was updated with practice statuses following the Broncos' Thursday practice.
