ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Tackle Jared Veldheer (knee) and cornerback Adam Jones (thigh) have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Head Coach Vance Joseph announced Friday.
Both players missed all three of the Broncos' practices this week.
Wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton will return punts for the Broncos in Jones' absence.
Joseph said the Broncos remain hopeful Veldheer could return for a Week 7 game against the Cardinals.
"We'll see," Joseph said. "Again, I'm confident in Billy [Turner]. He's played good football. We have Eli [Wilkinson] as a swing guy, so I think we're OK. But hopefully he gets better and comes back next week. We'll see."
Outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett also missed Friday's session. Joseph said Barrett was sick and would be fine for Sunday.
