ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have waived cornerback Mac McCain III, the team announced Tuesday.

Denver also restored outside linebacker Pita Taumoepenu from the Practice Squad/COVID-19 list to the practice squad and protected tight end Shaun Beyer and wide receiver Seth Williams on the practice squad. Teams are eligible to protect as many four players on their practice squad per week.

The Broncos claimed McCain off waivers from the Eagles on Nov. 10, but he did not appear in the team's Week 10 game against Philadelphia. He originally joined the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and competed with the team during training camp. McCain also briefly spent time on the Broncos' practice squad.

Beyer and Williams have yet to appear in a regular-season game, while Taumoepenu has seen limited special teams action.

Denver's active roster sits at 51 players.
