ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have signed tight end Troy Fumagalli and offensive lineman Jon Halapio to their practice squad, the team announced Monday.

Fumagalli, a former fifth-round pick by the Broncos in 2018, appeared in 11 games for the Broncos in 2019 and caught six passes for 38 yards and a touchdown. He competed with the Broncos in training camp but was released before the season. He rejoins the organization in the aftermath of Andrew Beck and Jake Butt being placed on injured reserve and Albert Okwuegbunam being declared out for the season with an ACL injury.

Halapio, meanwhile, is also a former Bronco who spent time with the team in 2014. A sixth-round pick by the Patriots that year, Halapio started 23 games for the Giants over the last three seasons, including 15 at center in 2019. He has not appeared in a game this season. The Broncos designated Patrick Morris as Practice Squad Reserve/Injured last week after he suffered an injury against the Chargers.

The Broncos will announce their protected practice squad players for the week on Tuesday and can elevate two players each week to the game-day roster.
