ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Following the end of the offseason program, the Broncos have added a new player at the cornerback position.
Denver signed cornerback Mario Goodrich, the team announced Wednesday.
The Broncos waived defensive back Tanner McCalister in a corresponding move.
Goodrich initially entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Eagles in 2022 and appeared in four games for Philadelphia in 2023. The 6-foot, 186-pound player started one contest and played 70 defensive snaps and 40 special teams snaps across those games.
Prior to his NFL career, Goodrich recorded 84 tackles, 21 passes defensed, five interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in four seasons for Clemson. He made 16 starts for the Tigers and was a first-team All-ACC selection in 2021 as a senior. Goodrich was part of three ACC championship teams as well as the 2018 national championship team.
Goodrich most recently joined the UFL's Birmingham Stallions in February and appeared in seven total games, recording 17 tackles, a tackle for loss, six passes defensed and three forced fumbles.
