ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos placed guard Max Garcia on injured reserve and signed tackle Cyrus Kouandjio to the active roster on Tuesday, the team announced.
Kouandjio previously spent time with the Broncos during the 2017 season. He signed with the team in early November and appeared in three games late in the year. Kouandjio started the Broncos’ Week 17 game against the Chiefs.
The former Bills second-round draft pick then competed with the Broncos during the offseason program and training camp before he was released in early September.
Kouandjio now returns to the Broncos to provide depth along the offensive line and will wear No. 79.
Garcia, a fourth-year player, suffered a torn ACL in practice ahead of the Broncos’ game against the Chargers and will miss the remainder of the season.
