Broncos Injury Report: Darian Stewart returns to practice

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A day after missing practice, safety Darian Stewart returned to the field in a limited capacity Thursday and is on track to play against the Rams, Head Coach Vance Joseph said.

"He's fine," Joseph said.

Tackle Jared Veldheer (knee) and cornerback Adam Jones (thigh), though, both missed practice for the second time this week.

Joseph said the team is focused on Jones' long-term health as they work him back from a hamstring injury.

"Adam Jones is coming slowly," Joseph said. "It's his second stint with the hamstring, so obviously hamstrings take a while. If you push this guy back, we could lose him for the rest of the season, so we're going to be smart with him and we'll see how everything goes."

Nose tackle Domata Peko Sr. received a vet day on Thursday and did not practice.

Brandon Marshall (knee) was limited during Thursday's session.
