ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A Broncos offensive lineman has been designated for return to practice.

Denver designated center Luke Wattenberg for return from injured reserve, the team announced Wednesday.

Wattenberg is eligible to be activated to Denver's 53-man roster at any point.

The fourth-year player has started 28 games for the Broncos over the last two seasons, including the first 15 games of the 2025 season. Wattenberg was placed on IR following Week 16 with a shoulder injury. The Washington product played 100 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps in the 15 games he started before his injury.

The Broncos have now designated nine of a potential 10 players for return from injured reserve. Linebacker Drew Sanders, tight end Lucas Krull and running back J.K. Dobbins are also currently in their practice windows.
