WRs Emmanuel Sanders, Cody Latimer downgraded to out

WASHINGTON — Wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Cody Latimer will miss Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins, the Broncos announced Saturday.

Though the two players were listed as questionable during Head Coach Vance Joseph's final injury report of the week, they were downgraded to out Saturday and did not travel with the team to Washington D.C.

Sanders, who has battled an ankle injury since a Week 6 game against the Giants, did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and participated on a limited basis on Friday.

Despite the injury, he had not missed a game since Week 9.

Latimer, who caught a touchdown in the Broncos' Week 15 win over the Indianapolis Colts, was limited on Wednesday and Thursday and did not practice Friday.

Wide receivers Demaryius Thomas, Bennie Fowler III and Jordan Taylor should see increased workloads in the wake of the two injuries.
