These were a handful of the plays that helped the Broncos surge back to earn their first divisional win of the year.

Safety Brandon Jones (foot) and guard Ben Powers (biceps) were both estimated as full participants.

Entering the 2026 season, Denver spoke repeatedly about the need to force more turnovers compared to a year ago. The Broncos' three-takeaway performance against the Chargers in Week 5 was just the latest example of Denver living up to that standard.

"You have to experience those moments with the team that you have now," wide receiver Courtland Sutton said.

"I thought one of the big things was, we took it away three times defensively," Head Coach Sean Payton said following the win. "And we forced a four-and-out on a QB sneak. So, essentially, four big game changers."

These are the players and plays that led to the Broncos' Week 5 win over the Chargers.

Cornerbacks Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss were previously ruled out due to injury and are among the team's seven inactive players.

The Broncos have added a pair of players to their game-day roster for a Week 5 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

"We know what our mission is," guard Quinn Meinerz said. "It's about going 1-0 every single week."

The Broncos last wore the uniform combination in the regular season during a Week 3 matchup with the Chargers in 2025.
