ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have added a veteran rusher to their roster.
Denver signed running back J.K. Dobbins, the team announced Wednesday.
The Broncos waived long snapper Zach Triner in a corresponding move.
A 2020 second-round pick, Dobbins spent the first four seasons of his career with the Ravens before playing for the Chargers in 2024. A year ago, Dobbins carried the ball 195 times for a career-best 905 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games. He also caught 32 passes for 153 yards.
Dobbins, who suffered a season-ending injury in Week 1 of the 2023 season, was the runner-up for 2024 Comeback Player of the Year honors.
As a rookie in 2020, Dobbins rushed for 805 yards and nine touchdowns. He did not play in 2021 and then returned in 2022 to rush for 520 yards and two touchdowns in eight games.
In his career, Dobbins has rushed for 2,252 yards and 21 touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
A 5-foot-10, 215-pound player, Dobbins played collegiately at Ohio State.
He joins Tyler Badie, Audric Estime, RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin and Blake Watson at running back on the Broncos' roster.
