ENGLEWOOD, Colo. â The Broncos are headed back to the postseason.
Denver officially clinched a playoff berth with a 34-26 win on Sunday against the Packers.
The Broncos will make consecutive postseason appearances for the first time since 2014-15 and have now made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons under Head Coach Sean Payton.
Denver is the only AFC team to secure a playoff berth so far this season, and Week 15 marked the earliest the Broncos have secured a playoff spot since 2014.
The Broncos, though, are in the hunt for much more.
Following the Broncos' win, Denver can clinch its first AFC West title since 2015 with a win over the Jaguars and a Chargers loss to the Cowboys in Week 16. With a division title, the Broncos would be guaranteed to host their first home playoff game since the 2016 AFC Championship Game.
Denver also sits atop the AFC, as the team holds a one-game lead over New England in the race for the No. 1 seed in the conference.
