ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --Defensive end Malik Jackson returned to the field for Friday afternoon's walk-through after suffering what he termed a "minor" calf strain during the morning practice.

"It was a setback, but in my mind, it was a blessing in disguise, because we do have time to get it right," Jackson said.

"It feels good. We've got the best strength staff in the league," he added. "I'm confident I'll be back pretty soon."

Jackson dominated his portion of the one-on-one line drills before suffering the injury, which kept him from taking part in the team period of practice. Vance Walker took his spot on the defensive line.

"Unfortunately for me, it happened the first day," Jackson said. "But it's all about perspective. I have a lot of time to get it together and just really get back to game speed with it while I'm in camp. It was pretty much just like that."
