Injury updates on TE A.J. Derby, DL Kyle Peko

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. –Tight end A.J. Derby was not a full participant in Tuesday's minicamp practice, but his long-term availability isn't in question.

"He's got a slight hamstring [injury]," Head Coach Vance Joseph said Tuesday. "It's probably about 75-85 percent. If it were a game week, he probably could go."

With the Broncos breaking for the summer after Thursday, though, Joseph stressed that he didn't want to push Derby too hard ahead of the break.

"We're being smart there," Joseph said. "Let's get him through this week and healthy so he can go home and train. He can come back in the fall to compete."

Joseph also addressed second-year defensive lineman Kyle Peko's status after he left practice early.

"He's being evaluated for a foot injury," Joseph said. "I'm not sure what it is, but he went down with a foot injury."
