The Broncos will face the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium on Sept. 21, 2025 at 2:05 p.m. MT.

MATCHUP

The Broncos will travel to Los Angeles for their second consecutive away game on Sunday as the team plays the Chargers. The Broncos will look for their second win of the season in their first divisional matchup against a Chargers team that has gotten off to a 2-0 start.

Denver's defense, which has allowed two touchdowns over the first two games, currently holds the highest blitz rate in the NFL in the 2025 season (51.4). The unit will face a challenging offense in quarterback Justin Herbert, whose passer rating against the blitz in 2025 is the second-best in the league (138.2). Against the opposing offense, the Broncos' secondary, featuring cornerbacks Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss should look to play key roles in shutting down the Chargers' production. Defensive lineman Zach Allen and outside linebackers Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper could also be crucial in Week 3.

Offensively, Denver will look to build on its momentum as the team continues to emphasize efficiency in the red zone and in its run game. Quarterback Bo Nix could look to maintain his connection with wide receiver Troy Franklin, who leads the team in receiving yards this season after a career-high 8 receptions and 89 receiving yards in Week 2. After recording three passing touchdowns in Week 2, Nix could look to again find wide receiver Courtland Sutton in the end zone.

With a win in Week 3, the Broncos would move into first place in the AFC West.

INJURY UPDATE

The Broncos ruled out linebacker Dre Greenlaw (quad) and tight end Evan Engram (back). No other Broncos were assigned game statuses. For more information on the Broncos' injury report, click here.

The Chargers, meanwhile, ruled out tight end Will Dissly (knee) and defensive back Elijah Molden (hamstring) and listed linebacker Daiyan Henley (illness) and cornerback Cam Hart (hip) as questionable.
