The Broncos will face the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sept. 14, 2025 at 2:05 p.m. MT.
MATCHUP
The Broncos will hit the road for their first regular-season away game on Sunday as the team plays the Indianapolis Colts. Both teams are coming off Week 1 victories, and the Broncos will push to keep their strong start alive. The Colts beat the Miami Dolphins 33-8 in their own Week 1 win.
Denver's defense got off to quick start in Week 1, recording six sacks and 12 quarterback hits, and allowed the fewest points in one of their season openers since 2009. The defensive unit could look for more quarterback pressure opportunities in Week 2 as it faces quarterback Daniel Jones, who is expected to make his second start with the team.
Safety Talanoa Hufanga, who recorded 10 tackles, seven solo stops and a forced fumble during his Broncos debut, could look for another strong performance alongside defensive lineman Zach Allen and outside linebacker Jonah Elliss, who combined for crucial back-to-back sacks last week.
Offensively, the Broncos will look to find a rhythm early as they match up with a challenging defensive unit that allowed just one touchdown and recorded three takeaways last week. Quarterback Bo Nix will look for more scoring opportunities in Week 2. With a 22-yard pass to wide receiver Courtland Sutton late in second quarter of Week 1, Nix should look to continue building positive momentum in this week's matchup. Head Coach Sean Payton also stressed the importance of more efficiency running the ball, and Denver could look to running backs J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey to continue their late Week 1 efforts.
INJURY UPDATE
The Broncos' first practice report will be released on Wednesday afternoon.
