ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have added to their defensive backfield.

Denver has signed unrestricted free agent safety Tycen Anderson to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday.

Anderson appeared in 41 games for the Bengals since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He has appeared in each of Cincinnati's last 34 games, playing at least 75 percent of the team's special teams snaps in the last two seasons.

Anderson played 83 percent of the Bengals' special teams snaps in 2025 and also played six percent of the team's defensive snaps. Anderson recorded 16 special teams tackles last season, according to the NFL's official statistical records.

The Toledo product led the Bengals in special teams stops in both 2023 and 2024, with eight and 11 total tackles, respectively.

Anderson is the first external unrestricted free agent the Broncos have signed since the start of the league year. Denver acquired wide receiver Jaylen Waddle in a trade on Wednesday and has re-signed a number of its own free agents. For a closer look at the Broncos' moves, click here.
