Broncos select WR Carlos Henderson with 82nd-overall pick

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — With the 82nd-overall pick, the Broncos selected Carlos Henderson from Louisiana Tech to join their competition at wide receiver.

In 2016, Carlos Henderson tied for most receiving touchdowns in the country (19) and was fifth in receiving yards (1,535) despite missing two games with an ankle injury. He averaged 18.7 yards per reception on an explosive on the second-most productive passing attack in the country, and he scored every 5.25 receptions.

Henderson was a versatile player for Louisiana Tech, also recording two touchdowns on the ground and two on kickoff returns.

His diverse skill set is a welcome addition for the Broncos, who are looking to be more aggressive on returns. Henderson averaged 32.2 yards per kick return, second-best in FBS football.
