ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —The Broncos plan to place yet another starter on injured reserve.

Right tackle Elijah Wilkinson (leg) suffered an injury and will be placed on IR, Head Coach Vic Fangio told KOA NewsRadio on Tuesday.

"Late yesterday it was confirmed that he has an injury and he probably also will be going on IR," Fangio said.

The Broncos did not practice on Monday, but on their estimation of a participation report, Wilkinson was listed among the players who would not have participated.

Wilkinson started the first three games for the Broncos and did not miss a snap.

Fangio said running back Phillip Lindsay is "close" to returning to the field after suffering a toe injury in Week 1.

"I think Phillip is close," Fangio said. "We'll see how he does here today and tomorrow and how he's feeling and make that decision on Thursday."

The Broncos' head coach also provided an update on Drew Lock, who has been out since suffering an injury against the Steelers.

"Drew is doing good in his rehab," Fangio said. He's definitely going to be out this game. Don't know his status for the game that follows that. If it's not that game, then hopefully the game following that."

After Thursday's game against the Jets, the Broncos travel to play the Patriots in Week 5 on Oct. 11 before returning home to play the Dolphins in Week 6 on Oct. 18.
