ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — After a perfect October, Wil Lutz has been recognized with a conference honor.

Lutz was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for the second time in his career, the NFL announced Thursday.

He joins kicker Matt Prater as the only Broncos to earn AFC Special Teams Player of the Month honors multiple times with the team. Lutz also garnered the recognition in November of 2023.

The veteran kicker made all six of his field-goal attempts — including two game-winning field goals — during a 4-0 October for the Broncos.

Lutz gave the Broncos the lead via a 27-yarder with 5:06 remaining to defeat the Jets in London in Week 6, and he added a 39-yard game-winner a week later to cap a 19-point fourth-quarter comeback against the Giants. Lutz also hit a crucial 36-yard field goal late against the Eagles to extend the Broncos' lead to four points.

As part of the perfect month, Lutz made both of his attempts of at least 50 yards — including a 57-yarder in London against the Jets. Including his 55-yarder against the Eagles, Lutz was the only AFC kicker — and one of two players in the NFL — to make two kicks of at least 55 yards in October.

Lutz also made all nine of his extra-point attempts during the four-game stretch.

He is the first Broncos player to earn Player of the Month honors this season.
