ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Safety Talanoa Hufanga has earned recognition at the league level.
Hufanga was named the Broncos' nominee for the 2025 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, the NFL announced Wednesday.
Hufanga was nominated by the Broncos for the award, which "recognizes individuals around the league who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship," according to an NFL release.
Former players Warrick Dunn, Larry Fitzgerald, Curtis Martin and Leonard Wheeler will select four finalists from each conference who will be listed on the Pro Bowl ballot in December. Current NFL players will vote to determine the winner.
"Sportsmanship is at the very the core of the game, the foundation of our values that are shared across all levels of the sport," said Troy Vincent, NFL executive vice president of football operations. "These Rooney Sportsmanship Award nominees demonstrate to the world how the game is played with respect and integrity at the highest level of competition."
The award, created in 2014, honors Hall of Famer and late Steelers owner Art Rooney Sr. and is presented to a player "who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents and integrity in competition."
The winner of the 2025 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award will be announced at NFL Honors in February.
