ARLINGTON, Texas — As the Broncos prepare to face the Cowboys in one of their toughest tests of the season, Denver will be without a pair of key starters who were listed as questionable.

Outside linebacker Malik Reed and nose tackle Mike Purcell are both among the team's inactive players.

Reed, who became the team's top rusher after the Broncos traded Von Miller to the Rams earlier this week, aggravated a hip injury in Thursday's practice and did not practice on Friday before being listed as questionable. His four sacks on the season are the most among players on the team's roster, and he recorded two sacks and a forced fumble last week against Washington. In Reed's absence, Jonathon Cooper and Stephen Weatherly are the team's top options at outside linebacker.

Purcell has not played since suffering a thumb injury in Week 7 against the Browns.

Tackle Garett Bolles was previously ruled out.

Tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, guard Graham Glasgow and safety Caden Sterns were listed as questionable but will play in Sunday's game.

Quarterback Drew Lock is not among the team's inactives, but he will not play due to COVID-19 protocols. Brett Rypien will serve as the team's reserve quarterback.
