ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — In a Tuesday morning interview with Orange & Blue 760, President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway said the team was "very disappointed in Chad [Kelly]" after news broke that Kelly had been arrested early Tuesday morning.

"We're obviously very, very disappointed in Chad and the situation that he put himself into," Elway said. "We are in the process of getting all the facts and talking to Chad, and then we'll figure out exactly which direction we're going to go. But obviously very disappointed in Chad."

Elway also drew a strong distinction between a Von Miller-hosted Halloween event and Kelly's behavior, which happened away from an event that included — among others — Broncos players, their significant others and members of other Denver teams. Miller has hosted a similar event for several years.

"When the team has a get-together, [it] is always a good thing," Elway said. "You like … when they get together and the camaraderie that goes along with being a team. But when you have one person that kind of puts a dent in the whole process, it's very disappointing.

"We're going to look into this, and look into it very seriously, because the charges are very, very serious and we understand that. We will look into this and then make decisions as we go."
