Broncos to sign cornerback Marcus Rios to active roster

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —The Broncos will promote cornerback Marcus Rios from the practice squad to the active roster, Head Coach Vance Joseph said Friday.

Rios will take the spot vacated by cornerback Aqib Talib, who will serve a one-game suspension on Sunday for his role in an altercation with Michael Crabtree against the Raiders.

Rios is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound rookie out of UCLA. He made the Broncos' practice squad after he spent training camp in Denver, and he will make his first appearance on the active roster when the signing is finalized.

He joins cornerbacks Chris Harris Jr., Bradley Roby and Brendan Langley on the active roster.
