ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have signed one of the league's top defensive linemen to a long-term deal.

Denver signed defensive lineman Zach Allen to a four-year contract extension, the team announced Saturday.

Allen earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2024 as he recorded a career-high 61 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 40 quarterback hits and 8.5 sacks.

According to the NFL's Next Gen Stats, Allen's 67 pressures were the most by any interior defensive lineman in 2024. His 8.5 sacks were the fourth-most among interior linemen in 2024, and he recorded a career-high 3.5 sacks in a matchup with Joe Burrow and the Bengals in Week 17. Allen joins J.J. Watt, Nick Bosa, T.J. Watt and Aaron Donald as the only players with at least 40 quarterback hits in a season since the stat was first tracked in 2006.

Since signing with the Broncos ahead of the 2023 season, Allen has recorded 121 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 64 quarterback hits, a safety, 13.5 sacks, two passes defensed and a forced fumble while missing just one game. Allen's 131 quarterback pressures since joining the Broncos rank first among all interior linemen.

Allen spent the first four years of his career in Arizona, recording another 11.5 sacks and 138 tackles.
