ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have made multiple roster moves following Sunday's win over the Chargers.

Denver promoted quarterback Sam Ehlinger from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Monday.

The Broncos also waived tackle Geron Christian and tight end Marcedes Lewis in corresponding moves.

Ehlinger did not appear in a game in the regular season, but he served as the team's emergency third quarterback for a series of games while previously on the active roster. He also was twice elevated from the practice squad to the game-day roster.

A former third-round pick, Christian signed with the Broncos in November but also did not appear in a regular-season game.

Lewis appeared in five games for the Broncos in the regular season and played 24 percent of Denver's offensive snaps in those games.

Following Denver's roster moves, the Broncos have one open spot on their 53-man roster.
