ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have officially added to their 53-man roster.

Denver promoted fullback Adam Prentice from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Wednesday.

The Broncos had an open spot on their 53-man roster and are not required to make a corresponding move.

Denver also signed defensive back A.J. Woods to the practice squad.

Prentice was elevated for each of the Broncos' first three games and needed to be signed to the active roster to continue to play for Denver this season.

Through three games, Prentice has played 16 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps and 30 percent of Denver's special teams snaps.

A Pitt product, Woods went undrafted in 2024 and spent most of last season on the Eagles' practice squad after initially competing during the offseason with the Commanders. He was waived by the Eagles in August of 2025.

During five seasons at Pitt, Woods appeared in 59 games and recorded 105 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions, 25 passes defensed and a forced fumble.
