"The timeline is aggressive," Walton Penner said, "and so we're looking forward to getting a little bit more momentum there, too."

"With regards to the player, he is explosive," Payton said of Waddle.

"We were prepared to be aggressive if we thought that there was an opportunity," Penner said. "At the same time, we weren't going to be aggressive just to be aggressive."

More of Broncos Country will be able to watch their team take the field this summer.

"It's an ambitious timeline that we have, and we won't be able to accomplish our goals in terms of timing and getting in there by ourselves," Penner said Monday at the NFL Annual Meeting. "It's not just something the Broncos are driving. We've got to have a lot of support from partners and others that are involved with the site."

"You turn on the tape, and he's one of the more explosive players in the NFL, yet he's an elite route runner," Paton said. "Really good after the catch. He's a matchup problem. He can play all over. So, really excited about him."
