ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos are another day closer to a potentially season-altering matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, and Denver is still without several key players.

Tackle Jared Veldheer (knee), safety Darian Stewart (neck), outside linebacker Shane Ray (ankle/wrist), running back Royce Freeman (ankle) and wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton (knee) all missed practice for the second consecutive day.

"We've got some guys nicked up," Joseph said. "It's … Week 8, that's expected. It happens in this league. That's why you have backups, you have a roster. Next man up. Let's go."

Guard/center Nico Falah (concussion), linebacker Brandon Marshall (knee) and outside linebacker Von Miller (ankle) were all limited.

"It happened in practice today," said Joseph of Miller's injury. "But it's very minor."
