ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Jeff Heuerman is staying in Denver.

The Broncos agreed to terms with the fifth-year tight end on a two-year deal, the team announced Friday.

Heuerman, a third-round draft pick in 2015, recorded the best season of his career in 2018 before suffering a season-ending rib injury.

As Denver's starting tight end, Heuerman caught 31 passes for 281 yards — tripling his career-best in receptions and doubling his best in yardage — and a pair of touchdowns in 11 games last season.

The Ohio State product's best game came in a Week 9 contest against the Houston Texans when he caught 10-of-11 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Heuerman has played in 37 career games and started 18 of those contests. He missed the entirety of his rookie season after tearing his ACL in rookie minicamp.

Heuerman joins Jake Butt, Troy Fumagalli and Temarrick Hemingway as the tight ends currently on Denver's roster.
