LONDON — The Broncos have added a key player back to their defense.
Denver activated defensive tackle Malcolm Roach from injured reserve to its 53-man roster, the team announced Saturday.
The Broncos placed guard Ben Powers on injured reserve in a corresponding move and also elevated guard Calvin Throckmorton from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Roach, who was designated for return earlier this week, is now eligible to play on Sunday. Roach was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable for the game.
Roach appeared in all 17 games for the Broncos last season and recorded 43 tackles, five tackles for loss, eight quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and two passes defensed.
Powers, who played every snap in Denver's Week 5 win against the Eagles, will now be required to miss at least the next four games. He previously started his first 39 games with the Broncos since signing with the team.
Throckmorton has yet to appear in a game for the Broncos this year and played twice for Denver in 2024. The Oregon product played 23 percent of the special teams snaps in the games in which he appeared a year ago.
The Broncos will cap their trip to England with Sunday's matchup against the Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Denver faces New York at 7:30 a.m. MT on NFL Network.
