This marks the 10th time Nix has been nominated for the award this season, and he has earned the honor three times. Nix's latest honor came in Week 12, when he became the first player in franchise history to win the award in three consecutive weeks.
In Denver's win on Sunday, Nix completed 26-of-29 passes for 321 yards, four touchdowns and a 152.4 passer rating. He also ran the ball seven times for 47 yards.
With Sunday's performance, Nix became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to record multiple games with at least 300 passing yards, four passing touchdowns and a passer rating of 140 or higher.
Nix's 18 consecutive completions to start Denver's final regular-season game set both a franchise record and NFL rookie record, and Nix now also holds the rookie record for the most games with at least 200 passing yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Nix finished the regular season with the most passing touchdowns among all rookie quarterbacks this season, and he passed Baker Mayfield for the second-most passing touchdowns by a rookie in NFL history on Sunday. Nix also finished the season with the most passing touchdowns by any Broncos quarterback not named Peyton Manning.
New England's Joe Milton III, Tampa Bay's Bucky Irving, Jacksonville's Brian Thomas Jr., Washington's Mike Sainristil and Baltimore's Nate Wiggins are also nominated for this week's award.
