Jordan Taylor to start training camp on PUP list

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — When the Broncos begin training camp at the end of July, wide receiver Jordan Taylor will be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, Head Coach Vance Joseph said Thursday.

The Broncos will otherwise enter camp as a relatively healthy team.

The only other potential candidate for PUP is outside linebacker Shane Ray,

Ray will undergo surgery Thursday, and while the team has not yet indicated a recovery timeline, Ray said he expects to return within two to three months. If he is not fully healthy when camp begins, he could join Taylor on the PUP list.

Though a few players missed practice during mandatory minicamp, Joseph said he didn't expect any other injuries to linger to training camp.

That includes guard Ron Leary and tackle Jared Veldheer, who each missed the entirety of the offseason program.

"Those two guys will be ready for training camp," Joseph said.
