ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — With two defensive linemen already ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, the Broncos have signed defensive lineman Kyle Peko and promoted Deyon Sizer from the practice squad to the active roster to bolster their depth, the team announced Saturday.
In a corresponding roster move, the Broncos placed wide receiver Juwann Winfree on injured reserve and waived OLB Ahmad Gooden, who had been on the active roster since Week 12.
Peko started his career in Denver as an undrafted college free agent in 2016 and appeared in seven games for the Broncos over two seasons. In 2018 and 2019, Peko was a member of the Bills' practice squad and active roster, playing in four games for Buffalo in 2019. After Peko was waived by Buffalo on Nov. 2, the Colts claimed him to their active roster, but waived him on Nov. 9.
In 11 career regular-season games, Peko has recorded 12 total tackles. Peko will wear No. 77.
Winfree, who was active for three games this season, suffered a hamstring injury during Wednesday's practice.
