Broncos RB RJ Harvey nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week following Week 1

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Following his first NFL game, rookie RJ Harvey is up for a league-wide honor.

Harvey is among the six nominees for NFL Rookie of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.

Harvey totaled 70 rushing yards on six carries, averaging 11.7 yards per rush. His 50-yard fourth-quarter carry helped secure the Broncos' Week 1 win over the Tennessee Titans.

The rookie's 50-yard rush was the longest by a Broncos rookie since 2018 and the longest by any Broncos rusher since 2022.

Quarterback Bo Nix earned Rookie of the Week honors three times in 2024. The last Broncos running back to win the award was Phillip Lindsay in 2018.

Washington's Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Cleveland's Dylan Sampson, Tampa Bay's Emeka Egbuka, Indianapolis' Tyler Warren and Cincinnati's Demetrius Knight Jr. are also nominated for the award.
