ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos had an offensive skill player return to practice on Tuesday.

Denver has designated tight end Lucas Krull for return from injured reserve, the team announced.

Krull participated in the media-viewing portion of Tuesday's practice and can be activated to Denver's 53-man roster at any point within the next 21 days. Krull could play as early as Saturday's game against the Bills if he is activated. If Krull is not activated within the 21-day window, he would revert to IR for the remainder of the season.

The tight end, who has appeared in three games this season, was initially placed on IR in early October. He recorded two catches for 15 yards while playing 29 percent of Denver's offensive snaps and 32 percent of the team's special teams snaps.

In 2024, Krull posted his most productive season with 19 catches for 152 yards.

Denver has now designated seven of a potential 10 players for return from injured reserve this season. The Broncos previously designated defensive tackle Malcolm Roach, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, former linebacker Garret Wallow, guard Ben Powers and inside linebacker Karene Reid for return since the start of the regular season, and all five players were activated. Denver designated linebacker Drew Sanders for return at the beginning of the season, and his 21-day practice window recently began.

The Broncos received an additional two designations — pushing their total allotment to 10 — as the postseason began.
