The Lead
As the 2025 NFL season nears, a panel of ESPN analysts has tried to guess which players will define the season.
The 10-person panel ranked the top 100 players in the league based on projected performance in 2025, and the Broncos had four members of their roster earn spots on the list.
Cornerback Pat Surtain II led the way for the Broncos and saw his rank jump significantly after winning Defensive Player of the Year honors. Surtain earned the No. 6 spot on the list after being ranked at No. 20 entering the 2024 season.
"The Broncos' additions to their strong defense will allow coordinator Vance Joseph to make it far more difficult for opposing quarterbacks to avoid Surtain," ESPN's Jeff Legwold wrote.
Guard Quinn Meinerz (No. 56), defensive lineman Zach Allen (No. 91) and tackle Garett Bolles (No. 98) also made the list. All three players were chosen for the first time in their respective careers.
