Denver Broncos players visited patients at Children's Hospital Colorado. Kai was able to interview Jordan Jackson and Frank Crum as a Kid Correspondent, a program that provides Children's Colorado patients with the opportunity to interview a Denver Broncos player. The below is Kai's Kid Correspondent article.
Game Day Meals
Jordan Jackson eats a lot of protein before games - his favorite is steak and potatoes. Frank Crum didn't say exactly what he eats, but they both said protein is super important for game day.
Why They Chose Football
Both players said they got into football because they were way bigger than everyone else when they were younger, so it just made sense.
Physical Stats
Frank Crum's shoe size is HUGE - like size 16-17! I asked them how tall they were in 6th grade and they said they were actually pretty normal sized back then. They didn't have their big growth spurts until high school. They are both really tall and Frank had to duck coming into the room so he didn't hit his head!
The Best Part
We also talked about my football experience when I played in 6th grade. I played running back, but I wanted to be wide receiver. We also chatted about my spinal cord injury from my dirt bike accident. They had a lot to say about recovery and never giving up on your dreams, which was really cool to hear from them.
