ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — As the Broncos began to prepare for their Thursday night game against the Arizona Cardinals, six players did not participate in the team's Monday evening walkthrough.

Cornerback Adam Jones (thigh), tight end Matt LaCosse (knee), outside linebacker Shane Ray (ankle/wrist), safety Dymonte Thomas (chest) and tackle Jared Veldheer (knee) all did not participate in the session.

Guard Ron Leary was also listed on the team's participation report among those who did not practice. Head Coach Vance Joseph announced earlier Monday that Leary tore his right Achilles tendon on Sunday and would be placed on injured reserve.

Joseph also said Jones and Veldheer would be day to day as the team approaches "Thursday Night Football."

Veldheer has not played since a Week 4 game against Kansas City, while Jones missed games in Week 3 and Week 6.
