ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Five Broncos did not practice Wednesday as the team recovers from its "Monday Night Football" matchup.

Punter Marquette King (thigh), tackle Jared Veldheer (bone bruise), defensive end Adam Gotsis (sore knee), Todd Davis (shoulder) and Adam Jones (family issue) were all absent from the session.

Outside linebacker Von Miller (thigh), tackle Billy Turner (sore knee) and tight end Jeff Heuerman (sore knee) were limited during Wednesday's practice.

Head Coach Vance Joseph did not provide a time frame for Veldheer's return after he exited Monday's game in the first half with a knee injury.

"We'll see as the week progresses," Joseph said. "Right now he's getting better slow. We'll see. I thought Billy played really well in his place on Monday night, and obviously [Elijah] Wilkinson's a good young player, so I'm confident, if [Veldheer is] not playing, that Billy will do a good job for us."

Joseph also said he didn't think King's injury had any correlation with his recent struggles punting the football. King has averaged just 41 yards per punt over the last two games.

"After the last punt [on Monday], he felt something," King said. "So I would say no, it has not [impacted him]."

Joseph called Gotsis' ailment a mild injury.
