ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Another game-winning kick means another NFL honor.
Kicker Wil Lutz has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Denver's Week 11 win over the Chiefs, the NFL announced Wednesday.
Lutz made all five of his field-goal attempts and added an extra point as he totaled 16 points in the Broncos' huge divisional win.
In addition to the 35-yard game-winning kick — his fifth of the season — he also drilled attempts of 29, 24, 38 and 54 yards. Lutz accounted for all nine of the Broncos' points in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game.
Lutz won AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors twice in 2024 and also previously won NFC Special Teams Player of the Week four times while with the Saints. Lutz is the first Broncos player to win the honor since Marvin Mims Jr. in Week 15 last season.
The veteran kicker also won AFC Special Teams Player of the Month honors after a perfect October in which he made two kicks of at least 55 yards.
Lutz, Nik Bonitto (Week 5) and Jonathon Cooper (Week 6) have now earned Player of the Week honors this season.
