The 2024 NFL Defensive Player of Year may soon have to make more room in his trophy case.
Pat Surtain II is one of four nominees for Best NFL Player at the 2025 ESPYS, and fans may help decide the winner by voting here.
Surtain was named the top defensive player in 2024 by the Associated Press after a campaign in which he intercepted four passes and recorded 11 total passes defensed. He also forced one fumble, recovered a fumble and made 45 total tackles, including one for a loss.
The fifrth-year Broncos cornerback will compete with Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson for the ESPY.
Two Broncos players have previously won the ESPY for Best NFL Player since its inception in 1993. Running back Terrell Davis took it home in 1999 following a season in which he rushed for more than 2,000 yards, earned MVP honors and helped the Broncos win back-to-back Super Bowls. Quarterback Peyton Manning also won the distinction in 2014 after setting new single-season records for passing yards and touchdowns, winning MVP honors and leading the Broncos to a Super Bowl appearance.
