Broncos announce third annual Back to Football 7K

Take a look at photos from the exciting Broncos 7K, which included a marriage proposal.

There are few ways to experience the feeling the Broncos get when they run onto the field at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Coming in September, that experience is available for fans and runners who want to kick off a new football season in a healthy way by participating in Colorado's largest 7K, the Broncos Back to Football 7K.

The Denver Broncos, BKB, Ltd., Hallucination Sports and title sponsor Sports Authority are excited to announce that the Broncos Back to Football 7K -- for fans, running enthusiasts and everyone in between -- will be held Sunday, September 6th at 8 a.m. at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.  Additional sponsors of the event include 9News and Grease Monkey with the race benefitting the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD).

The 2015 edition of the race features an updated course, wave starts, and the opportunity to run through the Broncos tunnel and finish on the field at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. All participants receive an official 7K t-shirt and finisher's medal and the opportunity to participate in additional race festivities including a Kids' Fun Run, raffle prizes, and post-race food and drinks.

"The city of Denver boasts such a passionate Broncos fan base that extends well beyond game days," said Scott Lantis, Denver Broncos Coordinator of Promotions and Special Events. "In addition, we have a very athletic community here which makes the Broncos Back to Football 7K so exciting."

On race day, registration and packet pickup will begin at 6:30 AM, with the 7K officially starting at 8:00 AM (waves to be released every five to ten minutes). Awards for the race are scheduled for 10:00 AM and the Kids' Fun Run begins at 10:30 AM.

"It is amazing to see all ages and all abilities come out and enjoy this truly unique and fun fan experience." said Lonnie Somers, president of Hallucination Sports. "The Broncos Back to Football 7K has created a true event experience unlike any other and it certainly has done that by becoming the largest 7K of its kind in Colorado."
