Following a 9-2 start to the season, the Broncos are on a much-deserved bye week.
As they rest up for the final six games of the regular season, though, there's still plenty at stake across the league.
Denver enters Week 12 as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and the Broncos' chances of earning the top spot in the conference are currently the second-highest of any AFC team, according to The Athletic's playoff simulator.
There are three games this week that could play a role in determining both the AFC West title and the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Read on for a Broncos Week 12 rooting guide:
Bills at Texans (Thursday, 6:15 p.m. MT, Prime Video)
You should root for … the Texans.
If the Bills end up winning the AFC East, they could be in competition with the Broncos for seeding. A Texans win increases the Broncos' chances of earning the top seed by two percentage points, compared to a one-point drop if Buffalo wins.
Patriots at Bengals (Sunday, 11 a.m. MT, CBS)
You should root for … the Bengals.
The Broncos' chase for the top seed in the AFC could become more likely if the Bengals can pull off an upset against the 9-2 Patriots. Riding an eight-game win streak, the Patriots currently rank second in the AFC due to Denver's better conference record, but the teams are about as close in the standings as possible. New England will likely be a factor in the chase until the end, which means any loss would benefit the Broncos.
Colts at Chiefs (Sunday, 11 a.m. MT, CBS)
You should root for … either team.
This one's tricky. The Colts hold the head-to-head tiebreak against the Broncos, which means they would earn a higher seed if the two teams end the regular season with the same record. A Chiefs win would increase the Broncos' odds of the No. 1 seed from 23 percent to 26 percent, while a Colts win would drop those odds to 19 percent. Indianapolis joins New England as the two teams involved in the race for the top seed with Denver, so a Colts loss could go a long way.
That said, a Colts win boosts Denver's AFC West chances from 76 percent to 81 percent. A Chiefs win, meanwhile, would push Denver's AFC West odds down slightly to 73 percent. Plus, it feels entirely strange to root for a division rival. Indianapolis has a difficult schedule down the stretch, which means Denver could still find a way to pass the Colts — and that you shouldn't feel wrong rooting for another Chiefs loss.
