Sanders selected for Pro Bowl

**

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.— Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders **has been selected to play in the 2015 Pro Bowl, the NFL informed the team on Thursday.

He will replace Atlanta wide receiver Julio Jones, who is unable to participate because of injury.

Sanders caught 101 passes for 1,404 yards with nine touchdowns in his first season with the Broncos in 2014. Both totals ranked fifth in the NFL and represented career highs for Sanders, now a first-time Pro Bowler.

His receiving yardage and reception totals also ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, in NFL history by a player in his first year with a new team. He is the 10th Broncos player this season to make the Pro Bowl—an NFL-high—and the fourth Denver free-agent acquisition to make the squad, making the Broncos one of two teams in history (Carolina, 1996) to sign four players who made the Pro Bowl in their first year with a team (Sanders, CB Aqib Talib, S T.J. Ward, DE DeMarcus Ware).
