Orange Crush to be honored at halftime Sunday

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.** — Several members of the Denver Broncos' 1977 Orange Crush defense will be honored during halftime of Denver's AFC Divisional Playoff Game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High (2:40 p.m. MST kickoff).

The tribute will honor each former player and coach in attendance and recap the 1977 season—the breakthrough year for the Broncos in the NFL in which its famed defense led the franchise to its first postseason berth and an appearance in Super Bowl XII against the Dallas Cowboys.

Broncos Ring of Fame linebacker Tom Jackson, the inspirational leader of the Orange Crush defense from 1973-86, will be featured on a recorded message on the ThunderVision scoreboard during the tribute.
