Darian Stewart introductory conference call

On how he ended up signing with the Denver Broncos

"On the visit yesterday I was really impressed with the coaches. I felt comfortable and I want to win, and I know that we're capable of doing so out there. That's all it took."

On if the Broncos said he would be replacing Rahim Moore at free safety

"Correct."

On where he fits in with the Broncos' talented secondary

"I feel like I'm the final piece to the puzzle. The secondary, they're one of the tops in the league, and I felt like they can get it done out there. We have a great organization and we have the personnel in place to get it done."

On if this opportunity with the Broncos is the best that he's had in his career

"Most definitely, and I'm thankful for it. I'm just ready to work. I feel like I always play with a chip on my shoulder, and that chip still remains. I'm not done yet. I'm just ready to make plays. I'm excited about coming out there and getting to work and working with the secondary."

On his versatility

"One thing about this league, the more you can do, the better off you will be. My versatility, it helps me a lot, but not just with the safeties. Just trying to know where everyone's at. I take pride in that. It all plays its part, especially with run fits and on the back end."

On how much he felt playing for the Ravens helped him get to that next level in his career

"The Ravens organization, they treated me right. I have nothing but respect for that organization. I was proud to be a Raven, but now I'm proud to be a Bronco and I'm looking forward to it. I feel like me getting to the playoffs and me getting that experience, it helped me a lot. I'm just ready to get back, and this time finish it."

On what kind of safety he is

"Just smart and just playing the game how it's supposed to be played. Knowing what I'm getting from an offense and just playing the game with the quarterback. I feel like I do that well and I'm only getting better."

On his impressions of S T.J. Ward and how he thinks they will work together

"I think we will work together just fine. Me and T.J. came out [of college] the same year. I met him at the [NFL] Combine. He's a good dude. I'm looking forward to it. He's a thumper and I think I add to their bunch. It's great with my versatility, playing back deep and getting the ball."

On if he had a relationship with Head Coach Gary Kubiak in Baltimore

"Coach [Gary] Kubiak, he's a good guy. We would have our chats. He worked more so with the offense, but I would always go down there and talk to the offensive guys. We kind of had a relationship. For him to acknowledge and want me out there, I'm thankful. Like I said, I'm proud to be a Bronco."

On other visits with teams

"I'm in Atlanta now. I landed here smiling, like, 'Dang, I might be a Bronco.' Everything is working out. Today is a good day."
