Broncos Injury Update: Darian Stewart not at practice

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --Safety Darian Stewart was the only Bronco not on the practice field as the team returned from its three-day respite to begin on-field preparations for Super Bowl 50.

Stewart suffered a knee injury late in the second half last Sunday and did not return, although he said he expected to play in 10 days when the Broncos face the Panthers at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

All of the other players who were listed on Wednesday's injury report were on the field, including safety T.J. Ward (sprained ankle), who watched as his fellow safeties went though their practice paces.

Ward and Stewart were officially listed as the only two Broncos who did not practice. Head Coach Gary Kubiak said that Ward was "a little ahead" of Stewart in their recoveries from injuries, but that he was "encouraged" that both would be available to play in Super Bowl 50.

Their presence will be crucial against Carolina TE Greg Olsen, who has led the Panthers in receptions and receiving yardage in each of the last three seasons, with two 1,000-yard campaigns. Olsen's 3,771 yards since 2012 are the most for any tight end.
