2014 Schedule: What to Know

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --With today's release of the 2014 schedule, take a look at an interesting note from each of Denver's matchups.

Week 1
Opponent: vs. Indianapolis* *Notable: Peyton Manning has wins against 31 of the 32 NFL teams in his career. The lone team he has not earned a victory against in his career is the Indianapolis, where he spent the first 14 seasons of his career.

Week 2Opponent: vs. Kansas City
Notable:Former Broncos linebacker Joe Mays signed with the Chiefs as a free agent this offseason.

Week 3
Opponent: at Seattle Seahawks* *Notable: Denver has played 26 regular-season road games against the Seahawks, but this trip to Seattle will be the team's first since 2002.

Week 4Opponent: Bye Week* *Notable: The Broncos are 19-6 after the bye week in the team's history, including four straight wins.

Week 5
Opponent: vs. Arizona* *Notable: After facing the Cardinals three straight years in the preseason, this is the first regular-season matchup between the two teams since 2010.

Week 6
Opponent: at New York Jets* *Notable: The Broncos played at MetLife Stadium, which the Jets and Giants share, twice in 2013 -- once against the Giants in Week 2 and once in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Week 7
Opponent: vs. San Francisco* *Notable: The Broncos and 49ers haven't matched up for a regular-season game in the United States in nearly a decade. Their last contest was played in London in 2010 and before that, Denver in 2006.

Week 8Opponent: vs. San Diego* *Notable: Broncos guard Louis Vasquez played his first four NFL seasons with the Chargers, while Chargers wide receiver Eddie Royal played his first four NFL seasons with the Broncos.

Week 9
Opponent: at New England* *Notable: This game is set to be the 16th career matchup between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. They played twice in 2013 with Brady and the Patriots earning an overtime victory in the regular season and Manning and the Broncos advancing to Super Bowl XLVIII with a win in the AFC Championship Game against New England. The Broncos added former Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib this offseason, a year after signing former Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker as a free agent.

Week 10Opponent: at Oakland
Notable:Broncos Head Coach John Fox was the defensive coordinator for the Raiders from 1994-95.

Week 11
Opponent: at St. Louis Rams* *Notable: The Broncos return to St. Louis for the first time since 2006.

Week 12
Opponent: vs. Miami
Notable:Former Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno signed with the Dolphins as a free agent this offseason.

Week 13Opponent: at Kansas City
Notable:The Broncos have won four straight games against the Chiefs.

Week 14Opponent: vs. Buffalo* *Notable: Broncos Running Backs Coach Eric Studesville coached Bills running back Fred Jackson from 2006-09. Jackson ranked 11th in the NFL with a 4.5 yards-per-carry average during that span.

Week 15Opponent: at San Diego* *Notable: Broncos Head Coach John Fox was the secondary coach for the Chargers from 1992-93, while Chargers Head Coach Mike McCoy was Denver's offensive coordinator from 2009-12.

Opponent: at Cincinnati Bengals* *Notable: Wide Receiver Andre Caldwell played his first four NFL seasons with the Bengals.

Week 17Opponent: vs. Oakland* *Notable: Dennis Allen is entering his third season as the Raiders' head coach after one season as the Broncos' defensive coordinator.
