Super Bowl Postcards: Phantom of the Opera

NEW YORK --There is so much to do in New York, it's impossible to fit it all in on one visit.

Magnify that exponentially when the Super Bowl is in town. In addition to the usual fare, there are countless parties, festivals and celebrations to commemorate the big game.

But we still tried to stick to old reliable on Friday night, making our way toward Times Square.

It wasn't to experience Super Bowl Boulevard, mind you, the crowded-but-cool aspect of Super Bowl lead-up. Rather it was to attend the longest-running show on Broadway -- The Phantom of the Opera.

What does that have to do with the Super Bowl, you ask? Nothing. But I'm trying to stick to Brian Dawkins' advice -- remember it's a business trip, but just as importantly, remember to enjoy the moment.

I would use my wife as an excuse, but I'll admit I enjoyed the show. Now excuse me while I listen to the Phantom soundtrack to get pumped up for tomorrow.
